How long have you been in the industry?

I started working at Priceline at age 14! I knew that was my industry, and I became a beauty/skin therapist in 2015. I undertook some serious upskilling recently and became a Registered Nurse in November 2023.

What are your favourite beauty products, trends or treatments?

My favourite trend at the moment is natural, glowing skin. I love the ‘high maintenance to be low maintenance’ vibe, so I spend time on treatments like brow lamination and lash lifts. So much so that after 8 years of lash extensions, I’ve had them removed and I’m going au natural.

What has been your biggest beauty mistake and what did you learn?

Overfilling my brows and overfilling my lips (yes – even us beauty therapists fell victim to those trends)! There is a picture of me with super blocky brows, and I think this was after having my brows threaded too thin by an inexpert brow tech. Lesson learnt? See an expert! Investing in quality services, not just something convenient and quick
will mean less time spent fixing the mistake later!

Who is your beauty inspiration and why?

Jane Wurward, the founder of Dermalogica. She has created a company that truly encompasses the ethos I love to live by. From the beginning, she focused on skills training and championing women. Dermalogica products aren’t about a miracle
ingredient, they’re well-developed, avoid irritants and get results. That simplicity and effectiveness is something I like to incorporate into my life and my clients lives also.
